Ron knew who Christ was and what He did but it was not until Ron was in his early 30’s that Christ intersected his life through the instrument of Rick Warren’s book, Purpose Driven Life. From day seven of reading this book Christ became personal for Ron. He shared this enthusiasm with his wife Jan. Three years later Ron received his calling to vocational ministry. After six years of online seminary through Liberty University he attained his MDIV. A year after completing the requirements for ordination Ron was ordained by a local church on July 2, 2013.
Ron and his wife Jan have been married for 20 years. They share their love for Christ with their four daughters. The oldest daughter is married and the other three live at home where they are home-schooled by Jan. All of their daughter share an interest and love for music.
Ron and Jan have developed a passion for the marriage ministry since Christ found them. They have helped couples prepare for marriage as well as assisted couples that have struggled with the strains of marriage life. They believe strong marriages are the backbone to a strong and healthy church community.
Ron has many hobbies but two of his favorites are his love for photography and wood working. He loves to take pictures of landscape scenery. As he would put it; God’s creations. He also has a strong desire to see people mature in Christ. Not to just know Jesus but to want to have a relationship with Him. This has become a driving force and often what motivates Ron to keep running the race.
For the past 23 years Ron has had a successful landscaping company and has ministry experience on a part time basis. Ron has lead two different youth ministries, a worship ministry and co-lead with his wife a large marriage ministry. The past couple of years has helped Ron receive a wealth of knowledge and many examples that he can now use to further build the Kingdom and follow the calling God has for his life. He continues to follow the verse the Holy Spirit has used to shape his life, Romans 12: 1-2, and to live that out to the best of his ability.
